Chhinj Mela Celebrated with Enthusiasm

During the recent Chhinj Mela held at Khiridhar, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania graced the event as the chief guest. He commended the organizing committee for their efforts, emphasizing that fairs and festivals are integral to our cultural heritage, and it is the duty of every individual to help preserve them. Such gatherings foster social harmony, goodwill, and a sense of brotherhood among the community.

Pathania also voiced his concerns regarding the alarming rise in drug abuse among the youth, highlighting the importance of sports and physical activities in steering them away from addiction. He called upon intellectuals and various community members to unite in safeguarding the younger generation from this growing issue.

Additionally, he announced a financial contribution of ₹5 lakh for the development of a community hall in Khiridhar, along with ₹51,000 allocated to the organizing committee.

Notable figures present at the event included Chela Krishan Chand (Member of the State Forest Corporation Board), SDM Anil Bhardwaj, DSP Mayank Sharma, Tehsildar Ramesh Chauhan, DFO Dr. Kuldeep Jamwal, BDO Anil Gurada, Executive Engineer Rakesh Thakur, Zila Parishad members Pradeep Sharma and Ankush Jaryal, Chhinj Mela Committee President Darshan Thakur, Baghadhar Pradhan Rita Devi, Vice-Pradhan Veer Singh Guleria, and committee members Rakesh Thakur and Omkar Singh, among other dignitaries.
