CBSE Class 10 Examination Results Announced

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results for the Class 10 board examinations for the year 2025 on May 13. The exams took place from February 15 to March 18, encompassing 84 subjects, with a total of 24.12 lakh students participating. Students can access their results through the Umang smartphone app, DigiLocker, and the IVRS system. Below is a comprehensive overview of the states that excelled this year.


Top Performing States

Trivandrum and Vijayawada emerged as the leading regions, achieving an impressive pass rate of 99.79%. Bengaluru followed closely with a pass rate of 98.90%, while Chennai and Pune recorded rates of 98.71% and 96.54%, respectively. Here’s the complete list of pass rates by region:

Student Participation Statistics

This year, a total of 23,85,079 students registered for the examination, with 23,71,939 actually appearing. Out of these, 22,21,636 students passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 93.66%, which is a slight increase of 0.06% from 2024. As has been the trend in previous years, girls outperformed boys, leading by over 2.37 percentage points, with 95% of female candidates successfully passing the exam.


Schools and Examination Centers

Approximately 26,675 schools participated in this year's board examinations, with 7,837 exam centers set up nationwide. This marks an increase from the previous year, which saw 25,724 schools and 7,603 centers involved.
