The latest individuals taken into custody are Dhananjay Lokhanda from Ahilyanagar and Manisha Waghmare hailing from Pune, both located in Maharashtra.

In a related development, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has remanded the five previously arrested suspects to CBI custody for a week to facilitate further interrogation.

The CBI initiated this case on May 12, 2026, after receiving a complaint from the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education regarding the purported leak of the NEET-UG 2026 exam paper.
