BSF's Successful Operation in South Bengal

The Border Security Force (BSF) has reported the seizure of 16.55 kilograms of silver jewelry during a patrol at the Tarali border post in South Bengal. This operation led to the arrest of an individual, as stated in a press release by the paramilitary force on Thursday. Acting on a tip-off, personnel from the 143 Battalion intercepted a motor vehicle and discovered 16 packets wrapped in brown tape hidden in a concealed compartment of the wooden vehicle.


Details of the Seized Items

According to the BSF, all 16 packets contained silver ornaments, with an estimated value of approximately ₹16.82 lakh. Initial inquiries revealed that the arrested individual is an Indian citizen from Balti village. He has been handed over to the relevant authorities for further legal proceedings.
