BSF Captures 15 Pakistani Fishermen Near Gujarat Border
BSF Operation Near India-Pakistan Border
The Border Security Force (BSF) announced on Sunday that they apprehended 15 Pakistani fishermen close to the India-Pakistan border in the Kutch district of Gujarat, along with seizing a locally made engine boat.
According to the BSF, a search operation was initiated on Saturday following a tip-off regarding an unidentified boat near the border post located at Kori Creek in the Kutch region.
In a statement, the BSF mentioned, “A comprehensive search operation was conducted in the surrounding areas, leading to the arrest of 15 Pakistani fishermen and the confiscation of a boat.”
The statement further revealed that all the fishermen hail from the Sujawal district in Pakistan's Sindh province and were found in the general area of the BSF's 68th Battalion border post. The boat contained approximately 60 kilograms of fish, nine fishing nets, diesel, ice, food supplies, and wooden sticks.
Additionally, the BSF reported the seizure of a mobile phone and 200 Pakistani rupees from the fishermen.
