Emergency services in Simi Valley are currently tackling a minor brush fire that has ignited close to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum. The fire reportedly started shortly after 1:30 PM local time near Presidential Drive, which leads to the hilltop location on the city's western side, as per early reports. Andrew Dowd, a representative from Ventura County Fire, has confirmed the occurrence but noted that information is still limited as the situation develops.
By approximately 2:15 PM, the fire was estimated to have spread across two to three acres. Firefighters have dispatched engines and various equipment to manage the situation.
