Kavitha Raises Concerns Over Alleged Conspiracy

On Thursday, Kavitha, a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), accused certain factions within her party of plotting to merge with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This controversy emerged during her time in jail. She further claimed that there were attempts to distance her from her father and party leader, K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). Speaking to reporters, Kavitha stated that discussions regarding the merger took place while she was incarcerated, and she had raised objections, even offering to remain in jail if necessary.

Kavitha elaborated that while she was in jail, some individuals conspired against her. She emphasized that no one in the BRS accepts leadership other than KCR. She reiterated her commitment to the BRS and mentioned that plots were being hatched against her during her imprisonment. Upon her arrest, she had indicated her willingness to resign from her MLC position. Additionally, she noted that she was targeted on the party's social media platforms. This is not the first time Kavitha has made such allegations.

Last week, she also pointed out internal conflicts within the BRS and expressed her discontent over the leak of her letter addressed to KCR. Kavitha claimed that there are ongoing conspiracies within the party, stating that KCR is like a deity surrounded by 'devils.' Reiterating her claims on Thursday, she questioned, "Some are saying we are leading KCR; are you capable of leading KCR? They should answer who leaked my letter. Why doesn’t the party refute the false news about me?"
