Tragic Incident in Muzaffarnagar

On the evening of August 3, a tragic incident unfolded in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, where a former chairman of a sugarcane committee and director of a sugar mill was shot dead by his elder brother amid a land dispute. A senior police official confirmed the details.

According to police reports, the incident occurred in the Noor Nagar village of the Purkaji police station area, where 65-year-old Krishanpal Gurjar was fatally shot by his elder brother, Deepchand Gurjar.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjay Kumar stated that law enforcement arrived at the scene promptly and transported the body for an autopsy. Initial investigations suggest that the motive behind the murder was a disagreement over land between the two siblings.

As per police accounts, Krishanpal was sitting at home when Deepchand arrived, leading to a heated argument between them. In a fit of rage, Deepchand fired at Krishanpal. The injured man was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical staff.

Authorities have registered a case against former village head Deepchand Gurjar and his son Anshul, both of whom have been apprehended. In response to the incident, police have heightened security in the village and deployed additional forces as a precautionary measure.
