Originally from Udhampur, Brijesh relocated to Bengal in search of better opportunities. He participated in the Bengal Pro T20 League, where he claimed 11 wickets in seven matches, maintaining an impressive average of just under 18, and ranked among the top ten wicket-takers in the tournament.
A Journey of Challenges and Growth
In an interview, Brijesh shared, "I currently represent the Bengal Cricket Association. I hail from Madha and reside in Udhampur. My journey has been filled with challenges. I played for the Jammu state team but faced setbacks. However, I learned significantly under Deepak Punia's mentorship at Unique Sports Club in Delhi over the past two years. The facilities there were excellent, and they instilled in me the discipline necessary to elevate my cricketing career."
Gratitude for Family and Friends
At 27 years old, Brijesh acknowledged his humble beginnings, with his father working as a labourer. He expressed gratitude to his family, friends, and coaches for their unwavering support throughout his journey to the IPL.
"I come from a modest family, and my father's dedication as a labourer has truly paid off. My friends have been instrumental in supporting me financially and emotionally during tough times. They believed in me even when I struggled with self-doubt. I owe a lot to my family, coaches, and friends for their encouragement," he stated.
A Father's Pride and Encouragement
Brijesh's father, Kapoor Chand Sharma, also shared his pride in his son's achievements and emphasized the importance of allowing children to follow their passions.
"We are thrilled. His hard work has borne fruit. I hope everyone can achieve similar rewards through hard work. We have been receiving congratulatory calls from relatives.
