Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh Welcomed by Supporters in Ayodhya After Court Acquittal
Supporters Celebrate Brij Bhushan's Return
Gonda (Uttar Pradesh), August 6 – Following his acquittal in a sexual harassment case involving female wrestlers, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the former president of the Indian Wrestling Federation and ex-MP from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), received a grand welcome upon his arrival in his hometown on Thursday. Supporters greeted him at the Ayodhya International Airport with drums and festive music as he arrived on a special flight.
From the airport to various routes in the city, elaborate welcome arches were erected, and supporters showered him with flowers using JCB machines. The atmosphere was filled with chants of 'Sher Aaya' and vibrant fireworks.
His convoy consisted of hundreds of vehicles. In Ayodhya, Brij Bhushan rode in an open jeep to the revered Hanumangarhi temple, where he performed worship and received blessings from the saints, as it was time for offerings and prayers.
During this event, his elder son, Pratik Bhushan Singh, who is also the MLA from Gonda Sadar, celebrated their victory by waving a mace from atop a vehicle, proclaiming that truth has triumphed. After visiting Hanumangarhi, Brij Bhushan's convoy headed to the Nandini Nagar Sports Stadium, where a massive rally named 'Satyamev Jayate' is set to take place. Before reaching the venue, he made a special visit to the Nandini Gaumata temple for prayers.
According to the organizers, they expect around two lakh supporters to attend this grand rally. Arrangements for a large feast have been made, including the preparation of approximately 40 quintals of laddus to be distributed among attendees.
Additionally, over 500 students studying Sanskrit have been invited from Ayodhya to participate in the welcoming festivities.
