The ceremony was taking place in a village within the Aung police jurisdiction, with the groom's party arriving from the Bindki area. The guests were welcomed with great respect, and the initial rituals, including the welcoming ceremony and the exchange of garlands, had already been completed. However, the atmosphere of joy quickly turned to surprise when the bride suddenly refused to proceed with the marriage.

The bride's refusal caused chaos among both families. Despite numerous attempts by her relatives to persuade her, she remained firm in her decision. She explicitly stated that she was not willing to marry under any circumstances and threatened to take drastic measures if forced into the union.

Inspector Rama Shankar Saroj from the Aung police station stated that the investigation revealed the matter to be related to a romantic relationship. The bride is in love with a neighbor and wishes to marry him instead. Both individuals are of legal age, and the situation has been resolved amicably with the consent of both families. The police confirmed that a mutual agreement has been reached, and there are no remaining disputes.
