The groom hailed from Ujjain and had brought his wedding party to Indore, where the ceremonies were set to take place in the Chimnabagh area. However, an unexpected turn of events left the guests in shock as the bride's family revealed that she had eloped with her boyfriend.
Engagement in the Day, Wedding at Night
The bride, residing in Chimnabagh, was set to marry the groom from Ujjain, with both families having mutually agreed on the union. The groom, a table tennis coach, had the bride's family’s approval for the marriage. It was decided that the engagement would occur in the afternoon, followed by the wedding ceremony at night.
The engagement took place as planned, and the groom arrived with his wedding party later that evening. However, while the groom awaited the bride, she was still at a beauty parlor preparing for the ceremony.
Bride Fails to Return from Beauty Parlor
After the engagement, the bride went to a beauty parlor in the Annapurna area. As the groom and his party arrived for the wedding, the bride was still absent. When the groom's family inquired about her whereabouts, the bride's family initially hesitated but eventually disclosed that she had run away with her lover.
The groom was left stunned by this revelation and created a scene at the venue. In his frustration, he went to the police station, expressing his embarrassment and desperation. He insisted on marrying any girl available, but after much persuasion, he had to return home without a bride.
