Gabriel Martinelli delivered a stunning 95th-minute goal, leading Brazil to a thrilling comeback victory over Japan, clinching a place in the Round of 16 during a packed stadium match on Monday (local time).

Japan shocked the five-time champions in the first half when Kaishu Sano intercepted a loose ball and executed a remarkable 40-yard solo run, firing a powerful shot past Alisson to score the opening goal.

After a challenging first half where Brazil struggled against Japan's Zion Suzuki, the team ramped up their efforts. Gabriel Magalhaes sent a precise cross to veteran midfielder Casemiro, who headed the ball into the net, equalizing the score at 1-1.
