BPF's Strong Position in Bijni

Bijni, Mar 27: During a recent gathering at the Bijni district office, Hagrama Mohilary, the leader of the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), expressed unwavering confidence in the party's ability to dominate key electoral constituencies, despite facing internal challenges and defections.

Speaking to the media in Bijni, Mohilary emphasized that the region remains a bastion for the BPF, extending his optimism to the broader electoral context.

“Bijni is completely ours. Not only Bijni, but we are certain of winning all 15 seats. There will be no compromises,” he asserted, highlighting the party's assertive electoral strategy.

In a straightforward statement regarding party loyalty, Mohilary indicated that the BPF is receptive to both departures and new members.

“Our party is robust. Anyone wishing to leave is free to do so. Conversely, those wanting to join are always welcome. Our doors remain open,” he remarked.

Addressing dissent within the party, the BPF leader minimized the importance of any rebellious factions.

“Those who choose to rebel from the BPF are not beneficial to us. Every political organization experiences disputes, but these issues do not affect us significantly. In the BPF, individuals who instigate unnecessary conflicts are of little value,” Mohilary stated.

He reiterated that while internal disagreements are typical in politics, they do not undermine the party's core strength.

Mohilary also hinted at his expectations regarding seat allocations, revealing his ambitions for future electoral arrangements.

“I anticipated more than 15 seats from the BJP. Even if they offer 20, I will accept it,” he mentioned, indicating a strategic perspective amid shifting political dynamics.

This meeting, which included local party members and leaders, is particularly significant as political entities ramp up their preparations for the forthcoming elections.
