Bomb Threat Forces Evacuation of Dwarka Court: What Happened?


New Delhi: On Wednesday, the Dwarka court was evacuated following a bomb threat, as reported by a police official.


The Chief Judicial Magistrate of the court received an alarming email at 3:11 AM on Tuesday, indicating that a bomb had been planted within the court's premises.


The police were alerted by the court at 10:50 AM on Wednesday.


According to the officer, "Dog and bomb detection units have been dispatched to the location, and we are conducting a comprehensive search. Currently, no suspicious items have been discovered."


The police statement revealed that the email claimed an RDX-based explosive device was hidden in the court.


"Upon receiving the security alert, local police, along with senior officials and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), promptly arrived at the court premises," the statement added.


While no suspicious materials have been identified thus far, the investigation is ongoing.
