Security Alert at Delhi University
On Wednesday, two colleges affiliated with Delhi University received emails threatening bomb attacks, leading to an immediate security response from various agencies. An official confirmed the incident.
The threat was directed at Ramjas College, located in North Delhi, and Deshbandhu College in South Delhi. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Raja Banthia, the principal of Ramjas College reported receiving the threatening email at 1:59 AM, prompting the Delhi Police and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) to arrive on campus and initiate an investigation.
The DCP stated that police cordoned off the area and commenced a thorough search of all buildings and open spaces within the campus. So far, no suspicious items have been discovered.
