Bomb Threat Email Received Before Assembly Session

On Wednesday, just moments before the commencement of the budget session in Gujarat, an email threatening the presence of a bomb in the assembly complex was received, as reported by officials. Police Deputy Superintendent (DSP) Piyush Wanda stated that the email claimed a bomb was planted within the assembly premises, prompting authorities to evacuate all staff and legislators from the area.


The assembly proceedings were scheduled to begin at 9 AM, but officials were alerted to the threat at 8:45 AM. DSP Wanda mentioned, "Upon receiving the bomb threat via email, local police swiftly arrived at the scene and initiated a search operation for any explosive materials." He further noted that, as of now, nothing suspicious has been discovered.
