Bomb Threat Investigation at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport

On Friday, authorities received a bomb threat call at Terminal 2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA). However, a thorough investigation by security agencies revealed no suspicious activity, according to an official.

The call was made to the Mumbai police's main control room around noon and was later classified as a hoax. An additional call was received, warning of an explosion scheduled for 6:15 PM. Investigations confirmed that both calls originated from the same individual.

Efforts to file a First Information Report (FIR) are currently underway. Another official noted that the railway police's control room also received a bomb threat call regarding Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CST), but after extensive checks by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and canine units, this too was deemed a false alarm.
