Bomb Threat at Jaipur Family Court Causes Panic and Evacuation
Bomb Threat Disrupts Jaipur Family Court
On Thursday, a bomb threat was reported at the Family Court in Jaipur, instigating widespread panic. An anonymous email warned that the court, located on Tonk Road, would be targeted by 2 PM, prompting immediate evacuation and heightened security measures.
In response to the threat, authorities dispatched a bomb disposal unit and a canine squad to the scene. The Anti-Sabotage Team also conducted a thorough inspection of the premises, leading to the swift evacuation of the court building as a precaution.
Reports indicated that the threat extended beyond the Tonk Road location, with similar warnings received at Family Courts in the Bani Park and Jyoti Nagar police station areas. This alarming situation triggered significant concern across all involved court facilities.
Law enforcement and specialized teams were deployed to inspect the Lal Kothi and Bani Park Family Courts, ensuring strict security protocols were followed in light of the bomb threats.
Later, Additional Police Commissioner Kunwar Rashtradeep confirmed that the threat was a hoax. Following extensive searches, no suspicious items were discovered, and the situation was managed without any reported harm.
The security team conducted a comprehensive check of the court, allowing operations to resume as normal. However, details regarding the identity of the email sender remain undisclosed.
This incident highlights the vulnerabilities faced by legal institutions and underscores the necessity for effective emergency response systems. Although no actual danger was present, the chaos resulting from the false threat serves as a stark reminder of the risks associated with anonymous intimidation tactics.
Authorities continue to investigate the matter, despite the threat being classified as a hoax.
