Discovery of the Body

On Monday evening, the body of a suspect involved in the murder of the principal of Ganpat Sahai PG College was discovered hanging in Sultanpur district's Kotwali Nagar area. According to police reports, the body was found near the Panchrashta area at the Sant Tulsidas School premises, where Anil Mishra, the husband of the school's manager Sushma Mishra, was located. Upon receiving the information, local police promptly arrived at the scene and sent the body for autopsy.

Anil Mishra had been released on bail granted by the High Court in connection with the principal's murder case. Initial investigations suggest that the incident may be a suicide; however, authorities are exploring all angles. Anil Mishra was previously identified as a key suspect in the murder of Pratap Bahadur Singh, the principal of Ganpat Sahai College.


Background of the Murder

Pratap Bahadur Singh was shot dead while supervising a back paper examination alongside his bodyguard, Suresh Singh, in October 2021. In this case, five individuals, including Anil Mishra, were sentenced to life imprisonment. The investigation is ongoing, and the officer in charge of Kotwali, Dheeraj Kumar, stated that the true cause of death will be determined following the autopsy report, which will guide further legal actions.
