BJP's Commitment to Address Lawlessness in West Bengal

BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari assured on May 6 that following the party's remarkable victory in the assembly elections, which marked the end of Mamata Banerjee's 15-year rule, necessary actions will be taken against criminals in West Bengal. Speaking to reporters in Nandigram, Adhikari highlighted the mistreatment of BJP workers by the previous government, which included filing false First Information Reports (FIRs).

Adhikari stated that the people here have elected him as a Member of Parliament twice and as a legislator three times. He mentioned that he had previously defeated the Chief Minister and came to seek blessings from Bajrangbali. He noted that BJP workers have worked tirelessly, facing over 500 false FIRs and the imprisonment of 400 party members. He emphasized that the BJP government will take every possible measure against goons and corrupt individuals. He also mentioned that no victory procession will be held in the next 2-3 days; instead, a thank-you ceremony will be organized with police permission after the government is formed.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit West Bengal on Thursday as part of ongoing political activities following the party's historic win in the state. According to senior BJP sources, Shah will first attend the cabinet expansion oath-taking ceremony in Bihar before heading directly to West Bengal. His visit is considered significant amid discussions on post-election strategies and government formation.

Upon arriving in West Bengal, the Home Minister will chair a meeting with senior party leaders and core committee members to assess the political situation, review organizational preparations, and establish consensus on future strategies.
