BJP's Commitment to Change in Punjab

The National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Nitin Naveen, expressed that in light of the significant expectations from the people of Punjab, the BJP is fully prepared to lead the fight for change in the state. During his visit to Ludhiana for the 'Yuva Milni' event, he urged the youth of Punjab to play a pivotal role in this transformation.

Addressing the young participants, Nitin Naveen emphasized that he has understood the issues from the perspective of Punjab's youth. Responding to various concerns regarding the hopes of the youth from the BJP, he stated that they are ready to take to the streets. He encouraged the youth to make their decisions, assuring them that the party would meet their expectations.

The youth raised several pressing issues, including infrastructure development, the burden of state debt, law and order, women's safety, industrial migration, the agricultural crisis, international flight connectivity from Punjab, sports, healthcare, and the limited impact of central government schemes in the state.

In a detailed response, Nitin Naveen highlighted that infrastructure development is a crucial indicator of progress for any state or country, closely linked to law and order. He pointed out that such progress is only achievable with a clear governmental vision. He compared the current situation in Punjab to the historical conditions in states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, where strong governance and the right mindset have led to improvements.

Nitin Naveen acknowledged Punjab's vast potential but noted that the state has lagged in terms of development. He mentioned that Punjab is burdened with nearly ₹4 lakh crore in debt. While other states also incur debt, he stressed the need for Punjab to establish a sustainable revenue model to utilize available capital productively. He further stated that the people of Punjab are not fully benefiting from central government schemes, underscoring the necessity for a double-engine government, a point the BJP has consistently emphasized.
