BJP's National Minority Front to Host 'Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Unity March'

Overview of the Unity March

The National Minority Front of the BJP is set to organize the 'Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Unity March' from September to October 2026. This initiative is inspired by the ideologies of Dr. Kalam and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'One India, Great India'. The primary aim of this march is to connect Generation Z and the youth of India with Dr. Kalam's philosophies, the vision of PM Modi, and the spirit of public service. This event comes in response to recent protests by youth regarding exam paper leaks.

Route and Objectives of the March

Beginning in Kashmir and concluding at the Dr. Kalam Memorial in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, participants will traverse through several states, including Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh. The march aims to promote the message of 'United India, Empowered India' and will pass through various religious sites such as temples, mosques, churches, and dargahs to foster dialogue and share its message. It is anticipated that millions of young individuals will join this march along the way.

Salam-e-Kalam Campaign

In addition to the march, the BJP Minority Front has launched the 'Salam-e-Kalam' campaign to honor the legacy of Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. This initiative, which commenced on July 27 under the leadership of the front's national president, Jamal Siddiqui, involves tribute programs held at district headquarters across the country. Siddiqui finalized the campaign details after discussions with the national team, emphasizing that 'Salam-e-Kalam' aims to widely communicate Dr. Kalam's significant contributions to India's development, science, education, and nation-building while paying respectful homage.

Siddiqui remarked, 'Dr. Kalam's life serves as an inspiration for the entire nation, including the youth and marginalized communities. The BJP has always honored great personalities, recognizing their vital contributions to national interests and nation-building, transcending religion and caste.'
