Bikram Thakur, a senior member of the BJP and former minister, has strongly criticized Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu regarding the Congress manifesto unveiled for the upcoming Dharamshala Municipal Corporation elections.

Thakur described the Chief Minister's assertions as 'hollow and misleading,' accusing the Congress government of fabricating a narrative of development solely for electoral advantage, while the actual situation tells a different tale.

He raised concerns about the government's priorities, questioning why the ₹30 crore allocated for the Central University (CU) construction remains unreleased. Thakur suggested that the delay in funding is indicative of the Sukhu administration intentionally obstructing crucial projects in Dharamshala due to political motives.

Commenting on the timing of the manifesto, Thakur noted that the Congress party seems to have suddenly prioritized Dharamshala's development as elections draw near, despite previously focusing on blocking funds and stalling ongoing initiatives. He further claimed that rather than promoting Smart City projects backed by the central government, the state government has created obstacles.

Referring to the Congress manifesto as a 'bundle of lies,' Thakur likened it to the party's previous '10 guarantees,' which he argued were ultimately unfulfilled promises. He called on the residents of Dharamshala to recognize Congress's 'false advertisements and misleading commitments.'

In conclusion, Thakur asserted that the BJP will present the public with 'concrete evidence of development and a dedication to service,' emphasizing that voters are increasingly disillusioned with Congress's rhetoric and empty promises.
