The election for the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson positions of the Bharmaur Panchayat Samiti wrapped up on Monday, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerging victorious in both roles. Mrs. Pooja Devi, a BDC member from Sānh Sanyūr Panchayat, was elected as Chairperson, while Mr. Jai Shankar, a BDC member from Garola-Ulansa Panchayat, was appointed as Vice Chairperson.
The BJP's win ignited excitement among its supporters and party workers. Dr. Janak Raj, the Bharmaur-Pangi MLA and a well-known neurosurgeon, attended the event alongside numerous BJP leaders and supporters.
In the Bharmaur market, celebrations broke out as enthusiastic BJP workers held a victory rally that traversed the main bazaar, concluding at the historic Chaurasi Temple complex. At the temple, party members offered prayers for the region's prosperity before continuing the festivities throughout the area.
Party officials praised the victory as a reflection of the BJP's organizational prowess, the commitment of its members, and the confidence of the electorate. They highlighted that development efforts in the region would accelerate under the leadership of the Panchayat Samiti.
