BJP Triumphs in Delhi Bye-Elections


On Wednesday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) achieved a significant victory by winning seven out of twelve wards in the recent bye-elections for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.


The elections were held on Sunday.


The BJP secured wins in several areas including Ashok Vihar, Chandni Chowk, Dwarka-B, Dichaon Kalan, Greater Kailash, Shalimar Bagh-B, and Vinod Nagar.


In contrast, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) managed to win three wards: Dakshin Puri, Mundka, and Naraina.


The Congress party claimed victory in the Sangam Vihar-A ward, while the All India Forward Bloc took the Chandani Mahal ward.


Delhi Chief Minister and BJP leader Rekha Gupta remarked that this victory is a “strong testament to the tireless hard work, dedication, and collective strength of our diligent workers and the organisation.”


AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal expressed that in the ten months following his party's defeat in the Assembly elections, “the public’s trust is once again rapidly returning towards the Aam Aadmi Party.”


He added, “Delhi is very soon returning towards positive politics and good works.”
