On Friday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a significant protest in the Kullu Assembly area, targeting the Congress-led government of Himachal Pradesh. The party accused the administration of implementing policies detrimental to the public and failing in governance. The event attracted a considerable number of party leaders and supporters, showcasing the BJP's political influence in the region.

The protest commenced at the historic Dev Sadan, where a large crowd of party members assembled before proceeding in a rally towards Dhalpur Chowk. The atmosphere was charged with anti-government chants as demonstrators raised concerns about halted development initiatives and escalating inflation.

Former Chief Minister and current Leader of Opposition, Jai Ram Thakur, participated in the protest and addressed the attendees. He criticized the state government for not fulfilling its commitments and letting down the citizens of Himachal Pradesh. Thakur urged party members to stay united and enhance their efforts to hold the government accountable.

The rally was spearheaded by Kullu BJP Mandal President Shravan Kumar. During the event, participants questioned the administration's effectiveness and highlighted various local issues impacting the community.

Narottam Thakur, the BJP's candidate for the 2022 Assembly elections in Kullu, also spoke at the event, discussing the difficulties faced by residents at the grassroots level. Numerous senior leaders, including District BJP President Amit Sood, State BJP Co-Media Incharge Danvendra Singh, and former District President and Mandi Co-Incharge Bhimsen Sharma, were present alongside hundreds of party activists.

Protest leaders asserted that the government has faltered on several fronts, with many of its promises remaining unfulfilled. They cautioned that if necessary changes are not made and development efforts are not expedited, the BJP would escalate its protests in the upcoming days.

The demonstration, which began at Dev Sadan and ended at Dhalpur Chowk, has heightened the political climate in Kullu, indicating a more assertive approach from the opposition in the near future.
