Nishikant Dubey, a Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party, has issued a warning that if the issues raised by candidates participating in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) exams are not addressed by January 13, he will seek party approval to initiate a hunger strike. Candidates protesting in Ranchi have expressed their concerns regarding alleged irregularities, corruption, and delays in the examination processes conducted by these commissions.

Call for Action and Political Support

While discussing the need to balance parliamentary duties with protests, Dubey mentioned that the parliamentary session will continue until the 13th. He stated that if no resolution is reached by then, he will require party consent to proceed with the hunger strike. Dubey has already requested approval from the party president, indicating that he plans to commence the hunger strike after the 13th if granted permission. The candidates are advocating for improvements in the system, a transparent recruitment process, and fair investigations. Their movement has garnered significant political backing, increasing pressure on the state government, with leaders warning of intensified protests.

Criticism of Opposition Parties

Dubey criticized the Congress, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), accusing them of causing significant distress to the youth of the state due to alleged irregularities in recruitment. He demanded a detailed account of appointments made over the past seven to eight years and questioned whether relatives of leaders from these parties had secured government jobs during this period. He emphasized that the focus is not on Rahul Gandhi but rather on the need for transparency regarding job allocations to relatives of leaders from Congress, JMM, and RJD.

Allegations Against Abhay Tiwari

Referring to allegations against Abhay Tiwari, whom he identified as the main accused, Dubey claimed that Tiwari admitted to collecting money from individuals, which was then distributed among members and the chairman. He raised questions about the extent of corruption involved, asking how many mothers had to sell their jewelry and how many fathers had to sell their land due to these irregularities. Dubey insisted that a comprehensive list of all such excesses should be compiled.
