On Friday, Anurag Thakur, a Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accused Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra of making 'fabricated' allegations, claiming they violated the rules of the Lok Sabha. Thakur stated that he has submitted a notice to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, demanding action against Rahul Gandhi. The former Union Minister also accused opposition parties of disrespecting the armed forces and police.

Thakur remarked that opposition leaders question military operations, falsely accuse Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and use inappropriate language in Parliament. On Thursday, he submitted a notice to the Lok Sabha Speaker regarding Rahul Gandhi's breach of privilege and contempt of the House. This notice was in response to the use of 'unparliamentary and derogatory' language against Home Minister Amit Shah and serious baseless allegations.

In the three-page notice, Thakur requested Birla to refer the matter to the privilege committee for a thorough investigation and appropriate action. It also included a demand for Gandhi to unconditionally apologize to the House and Shah. Speaking to reporters in the Parliament complex, Thakur stated, 'We have repeatedly seen that Congress and some opposition parties never miss an opportunity to insult the Indian Army and police.'

He criticized the questioning of airstrikes, surgical strikes, and operations, likening the rhetoric to that of India's enemies. He expressed disappointment that Congress leaders use offensive language within the House and make fabricated accusations while violating rules. 'I have submitted a notice under the rules of procedure and conduct of business in the Lok Sabha and urged the Speaker to take action,' Thakur added.

Thakur accused Rahul Gandhi of making false allegations against the Ministry of Home Affairs and targeting the media and police. He stated, 'Rahul Gandhi makes false accusations against the Ministry of Home Affairs.'

Priyanka Gandhi referred to the media as 'pets' in the House, while Rahul Gandhi claimed outside that the media is aligned with the BJP. They also question the country's police force. The BJP leader alleged that despite being out of power for over a decade, Congress continues to attack constitutional institutions. Thakur remarked, 'This is a family and party filled with arrogance.'

He noted that even after twelve years out of power, they continue to question constitutional institutions, defame them, and even challenge the Lok Sabha Speaker. 'They use offensive language in the House, call people 'fools,' and behave inappropriately. This shows that a family is living in arrogance, and the party is paying the price for it.'
