BJP MP Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Being a Puppet of Foreign Powers

New Delhi, July 27 - Nishikant Dubey, a Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accused opposition leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday of acting like a "puppet" under the influence of foreign powers. He announced plans to introduce a motion in Parliament aimed at removing Gandhi from his position. Dubey, who represents Godda, also expressed intentions to request the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe Gandhi's foreign trips from 2004 to 2026, along with his associates and alleged "secret agreements." Speaking to reporters in the Parliament complex, Dubey stated, "Rahul Gandhi is a puppet sold to foreign powers."
He further claimed that Gandhi serves merely as a conduit for foreign interests, attributing his prominence and influence to his connection with the Gandhi family. The BJP has repeatedly raised questions regarding the expenses of Rahul Gandhi's foreign trips, alleging that the costs do not align with his declared income. Dubey asserted that there is a lack of transparency surrounding these travels.
He remarked, "No one has any information about his foreign trips from 2004 to 2026. He travels abroad, yet no one knows whom he meets, what he does there, or how he discusses fundraising for various movements." Dubey accused Gandhi of speaking against the country and its government during his foreign visits instead of promoting Indian policies. He stated, "According to the rules associated with the opposition leader in the Lok Sabha, he should discuss the country's and government's policies whenever he travels abroad."
However, Dubey claimed that during all his foreign trips, Gandhi has spoken against the nation, the government, and the Constitution rather than supporting India's policies. Accusing the Congress party of engaging in activities that destabilize the country, Dubey alleged that the party plays a significant role in a "conspiracy" to divide the nation. He concluded, "All these individuals are involved in a conspiracy to divide the country. The incidents that are emerging, the people financing them, those providing funds, and the activities that have occurred—all have the Congress party's largest role in them."
