BJP MP Accuses Pakistan's Defense Minister of Political Manipulation

Allegations Against Pakistan's Defense Minister

On Tuesday, Nishikant Dubey, a Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claimed that recent threats made by Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif were orchestrated under the influence of the Trinamool Congress (TMC). Speaking to a news outlet, Dubey suggested that these statements were a strategic distraction aimed at diverting public attention from illegal immigration issues in West Bengal. This controversy arose following Asif's warning that any future military conflict with India could escalate to Kolkata.

Dubey emphasized that Prime Minister Modi had previously stated that if any citizen faced trouble, Pakistan would face severe consequences. He asserted that there should be no misunderstanding regarding this matter. Furthermore, Dubey pointed out a direct connection between the Pakistani establishment and the ruling party in West Bengal, arguing that the TMC was using external threats to mask its internal vulnerabilities regarding border security.

Concerns Over Bangladeshi Immigration

He further alleged that Khawaja Asif's statements were likely made at the behest of Mamata Banerjee, as the issue of Bangladeshi immigration is significant, and the TMC relies on the votes of Bangladeshi immigrants. Dubey suggested that the TMC orchestrated these comments to deflect attention from this pressing issue. He expressed confidence that an investigation would reveal the motivations behind such statements. Asif's remarks followed his speech in Sialkot on April 4, where he warned that Pakistan would respond to any future provocations from India and claimed that tensions could spread to Kolkata. He also accused India of potentially engaging in false-flag operations, although he provided no evidence to support this claim.

BJP's Stance on Bengali Identity

In response to comments made by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee warning voters about the BJP, Dubey asserted that the BJP stands for 'Bengali pride.' He stated, "I believe that only the BJP can restore Bengali pride and honor. Our identity is tied to Bengal. Without Syama Prasad Mukherjee, the BJP would not even exist."

He further noted that the BJP is receiving strong grassroots support and predicted a decisive victory in upcoming elections. Dubey remarked, "This is not a tough contest; it is one-sided. People are united to preserve their Bengali identity and will oust the TMC from power."
