During a recent event honoring Panchayat representatives at his home, BJP MLA Ranveer Singh Nikka launched a fierce critique of party dissenters and political rivals. He emphasized that the BJP's recent challenges in the Zila Parishad elections were not solely against the ruling Congress but also included expelled rebel candidates.
Nikka highlighted that just prior to the elections, the party leadership expelled certain members who were allegedly collaborating with Congress to undermine the BJP's position in Nurpur. Despite these challenges, the BJP managed to secure the highest votes in four Zila Parishad wards, while Congress fell to third place. He noted that the party narrowly lost three seats, and those who claimed to have returned to the BJP found their candidates trailing behind Congress.
Providing specific statistics, Nikka revealed that in the 52 Panchayats of the Nurpur block, 32 Pradhans and 34 Up-Pradhans were elected with BJP support. Among the 25 Block Samiti members, 19 were also backed by the BJP, along with one Zila Parishad member. He asserted that these outcomes are indicative of the BJP's impending success in the Nurpur Assembly constituency. Furthermore, he stated that the party's achievements in municipal elections statewide suggest a strong possibility of forming the next government following the Assembly elections.
Nikka issued a bold challenge, asserting that any adversary in Nurpur would encounter a robust political response from BJP supporters. Reflecting on the 2022 Assembly elections, he recalled winning by a significant margin of nearly 18,000 votes, despite lacking support from the Zila Parishad or Panchayat at that time. With full backing from the Panchayat now, he expressed his readiness to confront any challenges.
In closing, Nikka condemned leaders engaging in anti-party actions, asserting his commitment to disciplined and principled politics, distancing himself from opportunistic behaviors.
