Viral Incident in Ballia

A disturbing video has surfaced online, depicting a BJP leader attacking a Dalit engineer with a shoe in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. This incident occurred within the premises of the electricity department, where the assailant reportedly hurled caste-based insults at the victim.


The engineer, identified as Lal Singh, a Superintending Engineer, recounted that approximately twenty men invaded his office and began to physically assault him without provocation. He specifically named Munna Bahadur Singh, a former BJP Divisional President, as one of the attackers.


In the footage that has gone viral, Munna Singh can be seen confronting officials aggressively. Initially attempting to physically overpower the engineer, he briefly stepped back before returning to strike him multiple times with a shoe.


Singh expressed, 'Munna Bahadur Singh and his associates attacked me for no reason. He struck me with a shoe and punched me.'


Conversely, Munna Bahadur Singh claimed that he visited the office to submit a complaint regarding ongoing power outages affecting nearby villages. He alleged that the engineer insulted them when they threatened to stage a protest over the matter.
