BJP leader Sangeet Som remains steadfast in his controversial statements. He has once again labeled actor Shah Rukh Khan as a traitor. Som expressed his views, stating that individuals like Khan will not succeed in their endeavors. He emphasized that no matter what, Khan will not be able to bring Rahman to play here, asserting that Rahman won't even step outside the airport. Som accused Khan and others of being traitors, claiming they enjoy the benefits of India while praising countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Som reiterated his stance, insisting he has said nothing wrong about Shah Rukh Khan. He criticized players from countries that act against India, suggesting they would invest in players like Rahman. He warned Khan that he would not succeed in his attempts, stating that such individuals are traitors who benefit from India while glorifying Pakistan and Bangladesh. Previously, Som had called Khan a traitor after the actor's team, KKR, signed Bangladeshi player Rahman, escalating the situation further.

During a public gathering, Som made it clear that he opposes the participation of Bangladeshi players on Indian soil. He criticized the KKR owner, claiming that the actor has forgotten his roots of success. Som confidently stated that players like Rahman would not be allowed to play in India. He urged Shah Rukh Khan to recognize that his achievements are due to the people of this country. Continuing his sharp critique, Som accused the franchise's decisions of being against national sentiment, stating that there is no place for such traitors in the country.

These comments come amid increasing incidents of violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, including brutal attacks on community members. Som is not the first to oppose the inclusion of Bangladeshi players; religious leaders and local organizations have also voiced their dissent. Spiritual leader Devkinandan Thakur had previously objected to KKR signing Rahman, issuing a stern ultimatum to the management during a recent address to his supporters.
