BJP's Mahendra Bhatt Challenges Congress on Ankita Case

BJP state president and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt has launched a strong critique against Congress, asserting that while the party raised the issue of a so-called "VIP" in the Ankita murder case, it retreated when asked to present evidence at the appropriate time. He emphasized that if Congress were genuinely concerned about the matter, it could have submitted its statement and evidence in court. At that time, the DGP had issued a public appeal urging anyone with information about the "VIP" to come forward.

He remarked that no one took action then, nor is anyone doing so now. By fabricating unnecessary conspiracy theories surrounding Ankita, Congress is disrespecting the memory of the deceased girl. Furthermore, he mentioned that a complaint has been filed against an unverified viral video, which is alleged to have been tampered with, yet Congress is attempting to exploit it as a political tool. The woman featured in the viral audio has a questionable criminal record, and there are allegations of political motives behind her actions. Despite this, Congress is trying to create controversy for political gain.

MP Bhatt stated that ahead of the elections, Congress is once again raising the "VIP" issue to divert attention from its failures. He urged Congress to identify the so-called VIP clearly instead of making statements and to clarify why it has not provided this information to the court. He accused Congress of being the real culprit in the Ankita case and noted that the public has blessed the BJP to fight for justice for Ankita. He called on Congress to refrain from politics based on misinformation. He added that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken cognizance of the case and ensured that the accused were detained within 24 hours. He concluded by stating that Congress has previously attempted to politicize this issue and failed, and it should be prepared to face the consequences once again.
