Urgent Call for Action Against Illegal Immigration

Senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Champai Soren, urged the state government on Sunday to establish a special task force aimed at identifying and deporting Bangladeshi immigrants.

Soren expressed concerns that the influx of Bangladeshi immigrants is rapidly altering the demographics of Jharkhand, posing a significant threat to the existence of tribal communities.

While addressing the media, he stated, “I appreciate the central government for taking decisive steps against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in the country. Now, I request the state government to form a task force to identify and deport these immigrants from Jharkhand.”

He further claimed that the demographics of the state, particularly in the tribal-dominated regions of Santhal Pargana and Kolhan, are being transformed due to the presence of these immigrants. Soren added, “I have consistently raised my voice against this issue and the conversion of religions, but the ruling coalition led by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) remains silent on these serious matters. Immigrants are depriving the indigenous people of their rights.”

Additionally, BJP leader Champai Soren accused the state government of failing to ensure the safety of women, asserting that they are “no longer safe” in the state. He also criticized the government for allegedly supporting those engaged in wrongful activities.
