BJP's Vision for Metro Projects in Tamil Nadu

On Monday, BJP leader K. Annamalai expressed strong confidence in the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) success in the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly elections. He emphasized that following the elections, a detailed project report (DPR) will be developed to introduce metro projects in Madurai and Coimbatore. Annamalai stated that once the NDA assumes power after May 4, they will prepare a comprehensive DPR and present the metro initiatives to the public.

Concerns Over DMK Candidates

During a press conference, Annamalai urged the public to recognize the realities of the DMK, highlighting allegations against the husband of the party's candidate from the Tirupparankundram assembly constituency under the POCSO Act. He pointed out that the DMK candidate's husband, Rajan Chellappa, faces serious charges of sexual harassment and other offenses. Annamalai stressed the importance of informing the electorate about the candidates' backgrounds and pending cases to make informed voting decisions.

New Healthcare Initiatives

The BJP leader also announced the establishment of an All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIMS) aimed at serving the public, which will soon be accessible to the community. Annamalai is actively campaigning across all assembly seats in Madurai. He mentioned that the national president, Nitin Nabeen, has campaigned for the NDA's candidate, Rama Srinivasan, in the Madurai South constituency, providing him with a wonderful opportunity to participate in the campaign.
