BJP's Digital Transformation Initiative

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated a comprehensive digital training campaign aimed at transforming its organizational structure into a technology-driven network. Party officials announced on Friday that over 1.2 million booth-level workers have already participated in this initiative. The program, titled 'Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Maha Abhiyan,' focuses on equipping grassroots workers with digital skills and enhancing the party's engagement with youth and Generation Z.

The BJP aims to train at least ten workers at every booth across the country, with a target of creating a network of one crore digitally trained workers.

Details of the Digital Learning Program

Tarun Chugh, the National General Secretary of the BJP and co-in-charge of the program, shared insights about the Digital Learning Program (DLP) during an interview. This initiative was launched on April 6, coinciding with the party's foundation day, by BJP National President Nitin Nabin, National General Secretary (Organization) B.L. Santosh, and National Co-General Secretary (Organization) Shiv Prakash. Chugh noted that the initial goal was to enroll one million workers between the martyrdom day of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee (June 23) and his birth anniversary (July 6), but the number has exceeded 1.2 million.

Participants receive training through an app-based digital learning platform, which offers study materials, topic-wise videos, and quizzes in twelve languages. Upon successful completion of the course, participants are awarded digital certificates.

Training Content and Participation Rates

The training encompasses the history of the BJP, its ideology, organizational principles, 'Panch Nishtha,' the life and teachings of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, as well as the welfare schemes of the Narendra Modi government. Workers are also trained on using the NaMo app and are familiarized with major organizational programs, including 'Mann Ki Baat' and significant outreach campaigns.

Chugh highlighted that Madhya Pradesh recorded the highest participation, with over 183,000 workers involved. In Tripura, approximately 20 participants per booth were noted, with an 85% course completion rate. Other states like Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Ladakh also reported completion rates exceeding 80%. He mentioned that the campaign is now entering its next phase, which will expand significantly at the booth level. In states with slower participation, the party plans to conduct special outreach campaigns, training camps, and establish digital support centers to boost enrollment.
