BJP Launches Aggressive Campaign for Assam Assembly Elections
BJP's Election Strategy Unveiled
Guwahati, March 22: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has revealed an ambitious campaign plan for the forthcoming Assam Assembly elections. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the party will kick off its election activities on March 24, right after the nomination period ends.
Sarma emphasized the importance of maximizing their time on the ground, stating that the party is opting for a departure from traditional practices.
“The nomination process wraps up on March 23, and with limited time at our disposal, we aim to start campaigning on March 24. Typically, parties wait a day or two post-nominations, but we intend to seize that opportunity,” he explained.
He further mentioned that the BJP is focusing on early voter engagement to generate momentum in various constituencies.
“Every moment counts in an election. We want to make the most of each day to connect with the electorate and showcase our achievements and vision,” Sarma added.
In related news, Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia confirmed that the party has finalized its roster of star campaigners, which has received the green light from the central leadership.
“We have submitted a list of 40 star campaigners to the central committee, and it has been approved. This list features prominent national and state leaders who will campaign vigorously across Assam,” Saikia stated.
Notable figures such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari are set to be part of the campaign.
Other significant leaders expected to participate include Union ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, along with senior BJP members like Kiren Rijiju.
Additionally, chief ministers from various BJP-led states, including Yogi Adityanath, along with leaders from Maharashtra and Odisha, are anticipated to join the campaign, indicating a high-energy election effort in the state.
Saikia highlighted that the involvement of national leaders will enhance the party's outreach.
“Our star campaigners will cover numerous constituencies, reinforcing our message of development, governance, and continuity,” he concluded.
