BJP Delegation's European Diplomatic Journey

The BJP delegation, led by MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, has returned to India after a diplomatic tour across several European nations. Prasad stated that the purpose of their visit was to present India's perspective and engage with the Indian diaspora. The team met with various speakers, MPs, foreign ministers, and deputy foreign ministers in different countries. Notably, the meetings in the UK were significant, where they interacted with members of the House of Commons, including Priti Patel, the Conservative Party's India group, and representatives from the Labour Party and think tanks. In Copenhagen, they observed a protest by some Pakistani individuals, which concluded swiftly.

During the discussions, the former Union Minister emphasized that while India has fought traditional wars with Pakistan, it has never adopted an aggressive stance. He clarified that India does not harbor animosity towards the people of Pakistan and that all Indian governments have sought to maintain cordial relations with its neighbor. He pointed out that the world needs to recognize that Pakistan is under the control of a military-general alliance that engages in terrorism and operates terrorist camps.

Upon their return, Prasad expressed his satisfaction, stating, "It feels great to be back in India. Our delegation visited France, Italy, Denmark, England, Brussels, and Germany. We met with senior leaders from the Indian community, parliamentarians, and think tanks. There is considerable anger in foreign nations regarding the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, and all countries condemned it. We also visited the European Parliament. The Indian community was very enthusiastic about our meetings. A new relationship between India and Europe is on the horizon. This was a highly rewarding trip..."
