BJP Condemns Rahul Gandhi's Social Media Remarks

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) expressed its disapproval on Wednesday regarding a social media post by opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, in which he questioned the number of Indian Air Force jets lost during Operation Sindoor. The BJP accused him of making reckless statements that could jeopardize national security. During a press conference, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia claimed that Gandhi's remarks were being exploited by Pakistan to target India and undermine the morale of the armed forces. He raised concerns about whether the Congress leader stands with India or its adversaries, questioning if Rahul Gandhi is acting as the opposition leader or as a representative of Pakistan.

Concerns Over Language Used by Rahul Gandhi

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia stated that the nation is questioning Rahul Gandhi's intentions. While it is acceptable to have disagreements with the Prime Minister, he noted that the language used by Gandhi against the Prime Minister is deeply troubling. He pointed out that discussions in the Pakistani parliament are now referencing Gandhi's statements, which are being used to target India, yet Gandhi remains silent. Bhatia emphasized that Rahul Gandhi must decide whose side he is on—whether he is the leader of the opposition in India or a representative of Pakistan. The country is watching, and it is up to him to make that choice.

Citing Military Concerns

Bhatia referenced a previous comment by Air Marshal Sandeep Singh Bharti, who stated that revealing details about fighter jets during an active war scenario is imprudent. He criticized Rahul Gandhi for making careless statements during Operation Sindoor, questioning how many IAF jets had been downed. During a press conference on May 11, Air Marshal Bharti remarked, 'We are in a state of war; it is not wise for us to answer that question.'
