BJP Criticizes Himachal CM Sukhu for Financial Mismanagement and Unfulfilled Promises
BJP's Strong Allegations Against CM Sukhu

The Himachal Pradesh branch of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a fierce critique of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, accusing his administration of poor financial management, unkept promises, and focusing on election campaigning in Bihar instead of addressing urgent local issues.
Advocate Vishwachakshu, who serves as the BJP's state media co-incharge, claimed that the Congress-led government under Sukhu is founded on 'lies, excuses, and deception.' He pointed out that despite assurances of contractor payments before Diwali, the treasury remains inaccessible, development projects are at a standstill, and residents are facing difficulties in accessing essential services such as electricity and water.
Vishwachakshu remarked, 'While the Chief Minister is preoccupied with speeches in Bihar, files are accumulating dust in the treasury. This government is all about propaganda rather than actual performance.'
He further criticized the administration for failing to fulfill its flagship promise of providing ₹1500 monthly assistance to women, labeling it as 'the biggest lie.' According to him, no woman has received the complete benefit, and the registration initiative was merely a political ploy.
The BJP leader also claimed that other commitments, including job guarantees for every household, the permanent reinstatement of the old pension scheme, and support for youth startups, have not been met. Yet, CM Sukhu continues to promote these falsehoods in Bihar to enhance Congress's electoral chances.
'With Himachal's treasury shut, contractors protesting, and employees agitating, the Chief Minister is seeking applause on Bihar's election stages,' he added.
Vishwachakshu accused the Congress government of transforming Himachal into a 'test case for financial collapse and ineffective governance.' He asserted that no MLA funds are being disbursed, panchayats are deprived of resources, and development initiatives are stalled.
He also alleged that the government is misusing the Disaster Management Act and citing poor road conditions as reasons to postpone panchayat elections, despite the fact that roads damaged in the 2023 disaster have remained unrepaired for two years.
Describing the Sukhu administration as 'inept, deceptive, and theatrical,' Vishwachakshu announced that the BJP will soon initiate a statewide public movement to address the government's alleged failures and economic mismanagement.
'The countdown for the Sukhu government has started. The people of Himachal are prepared to confront the truth,' he concluded.
