BJP Criticizes Congress and Rahul Gandhi Over Corruption Allegations

BJP's Strong Condemnation of Congress

On Saturday, Gaurav Bhatia, the national spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), launched a fierce critique against the Congress party and its leader Rahul Gandhi. He labeled Congress as the most corrupt party and accused Rahul of repeatedly disrespecting the OBC community, which includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who belongs to the same group. Addressing the media, Bhatia stated, "The most corrupt party held a conference for the OBC community yesterday. Rahul Gandhi has consistently insulted the OBC community and the Prime Minister who hails from it. He faces serious allegations of corruption and is currently out on bail."

Bhatia also questioned Rahul Gandhi's praise for leaders like Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, both of whom are facing corruption allegations. He remarked that Rahul Gandhi claimed these leaders are ideals, despite Siddaramaiah being implicated in the mud scam and Baghel and his son facing multiple corruption charges. "The government is committed to eradicating corruption, yet Rahul Gandhi suggests that those who are corrupt possess leadership qualities," Bhatia added.

Just a day prior, the Congress party organized a 'Partnership Justice Conference,' inaugurated by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, with Rahul Gandhi delivering the closing remarks. Kharge reiterated the party's demand for a nationwide caste-based census and the removal of the 50% cap on reservations. He also criticized Prime Minister Modi for allegedly denying the rights of backward communities and misleading the nation.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi acknowledged that not conducting a caste census during the UPA government was a mistake and expressed his commitment to rectify this. Speaking at the OBC 'Partnership Justice Conference' at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi, he admitted that he had previously failed to understand the issues faced by the OBC community, while Congress had made commendable efforts regarding the concerns of Dalits, tribals, and women.
