BJP's Allegations Against AAP Leadership

On Monday, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala targeted Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing him of betraying Delhi and failing to fulfill promises made in Punjab. Poonawala claimed that the AAP government has 'ruined' the national capital and questioned Kejriwal's authority to comment on recent events in Delhi.

Poonawala stated that Kejriwal had transformed schools into bars instead of improving education. He criticized the AAP leader for promising two-room kitchens while indulging in VIP privileges, especially during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic when he built a lavish palace. He accused the AAP of rampant corruption and scandals across various departments, asserting that after ruining Delhi, they are now set to do the same in Punjab. He emphasized that Kejriwal has no right to speak about the happenings in Delhi over the past year.

He further scrutinized AAP's governance in Punjab, questioning the implementation of electoral promises made to the public. Poonawala asked how many women have received the promised ₹1,000, how many unemployed individuals have benefited from unemployment allowances, and how many farmers have received the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for their crops as promised. He also inquired about the number of drug dealers that AAP has apprehended, despite their commitment to eliminate them within seven days of forming the government. He concluded by stating that after deceiving Delhi, AAP is now misleading Punjab and has no right to preach to the people of Delhi.

On Sunday, Arvind Kejriwal had launched a scathing attack on the BJP during a rally at Jantar Mantar, criticizing the party's governance in Gujarat and questioning its claims of development.
