On Wednesday, the BJP hosted the Seva Jyoti Yatra and Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha at the historic Dhalpur ground in Kullu, commemorating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service. Notable attendees included BJP MP from Mandi, Kangana Ranaut, and former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, who were present to hear Modi’s live address.

During his speech, Jairam Thakur highlighted Modi’s journey as a testament to dedication and the principle of putting the nation first. He noted that Modi began his political career as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, and has since served as Prime Minister.

Thakur reflected on the skepticism surrounding the BJP's formation in its early days, emphasizing how an ordinary party worker has risen to become one of the world's most influential leaders.

He attributed several significant achievements to Modi’s leadership, including the abrogation of Article 370, the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, and decisive actions against terrorism and extremism. He also pointed out that India has strengthened its global standing, evolving from the 11th-largest economy in 2014 to the fourth-largest today.

Thakur expressed optimism about India’s journey towards self-reliance and development, guided by the vision of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas'. He hopes that Modi will continue to lead the nation for the next 25 years.

Kangana Ranaut praised Modi’s contributions and stated that the Seva Jyoti Yatra represents a shift from 'Nation First' to 'Citizen First'. She urged citizens to engage in the vision for a developed India by 2047.

Ranaut also criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other opposition parties for their protests against the Election Commission and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. She dismissed allegations of vote rigging and EVM tampering, asserting that such claims weaken India’s democratic framework. She confidently stated that the BJP could win elections even without EVMs.

Additionally, Ranaut welcomed President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Kullu-Manali, calling it a point of pride for local residents and tribal communities.

She raised concerns regarding the slow implementation of funds from her MP Local Area Development Scheme in Kullu, noting that over ₹10 crore had been allocated but little progress had been made, questioning the administration's efficiency.

The event also saw participation from former minister Govind Singh Thakur, former MP Maheshwar Singh, MLAs Surendra Shourie, Lokendra Kumar, and Deeparaj, along with BJP district president Amit Sood, co-in-charge Priyanta Sharma, former candidate Narottam Thakur, Akhilesh Kapoor, and Zila Parishad chairman Thakur Dass, among other party members and supporters.
