BJP Prepares for Leadership Transition

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed election officials for state president elections in Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal as of Friday. This decision comes amid ongoing preparations for the party's national president elections, aimed at transitioning from JP Nadda's leadership. Nadda has held the top position since early 2020, and his term has been extended to ensure a smooth transition. According to the party's constitution, the election for the national president can only occur after the elections for half of the state presidents have been completed.
