BJD Critiques BJP's Governance in Odisha: A Call for Economic Progress
BJD Raises Concerns Over Odisha's Political and Economic Climate
Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has voiced strong criticism against the BJP-led government in Odisha, which has been in power for 11 months, highlighting concerns regarding the state's political and economic conditions.
During the inaugural meeting of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC), led by party president Naveen Patnaik, these issues were thoroughly examined, as reported by PAC member Niranjan Pujari.
The PAC serves as the primary decision-making entity for the regional party.
Pujari stated, "The PAC raised alarms about the slow progress in economic and industrial growth within the state, urging the BJP government to prioritize genuine economic development rather than squandering taxpayer funds on rebranding BJD initiatives for political advantage."
The committee also addressed the current political landscape and expressed worries about the challenges faced by the populace.
The party expressed hope that the government would take necessary actions to address the stagnation in development and meet the expectations of the citizens.
Additionally, the meeting honored the 26 individuals who lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack, with Pujari commending the exceptional skill and bravery of the Indian armed forces during 'Operation Sindoor.'
He remarked, "The courage displayed by our armed forces has instilled pride in India. The BJD stands in solidarity with the Indian Army."
The BJD also acknowledged the leadership of Naveen Patnaik for the significant advancements in industrial development, as noted in a recent ICRA report.
