NDA Secures Rajya Sabha Seats in Bihar

Patna: In a significant political development, BJP president Nitin Nabin, along with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and three other candidates from the NDA, successfully secured their positions in the Rajya Sabha elections held on Monday, according to official reports.

The victorious candidates include Union Minister Ram Nath Thakur from JD(U), BJP's Shivesh Kumar, and Upendra Kushwaha, president of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha, as confirmed by Khyati Singh, the Secretary of the Vidhan Sabha and Returning Officer for the Rajya Sabha elections.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary expressed gratitude towards all NDA MLAs, who collectively hold 202 out of the 243 assembly seats, for their support in favor of the BJP-led coalition.

Despite the NDA's strong position for four seats, the opposition, represented by RJD's Amarendra Dhari Singh, managed to compel an election for the fifth seat.
