Vaishali News: In a shocking incident from Vaishali district, Bihar, a joyous wedding celebration quickly escalated into chaos. The ceremony, which began with laughter and joy during the 'Jaimala' ritual, took a turn for the worse due to an unexpected action that transformed the wedding venue into a battleground. The bride, upset by the groom's behavior, ultimately refused to go through with the marriage, leaving the wedding party empty-handed.
This incident occurred in the Kutubpur village of the Bidupur police station area. The groom's party had arrived from Jandaha. After the successful completion of the Jaimala ceremony, the bride retreated to her room to relax. However, a few young men from the groom's side unexpectedly entered her room, which angered the bride's family, leading them to forcibly remove the intruders. This sparked a heated argument between both parties.
Violence Erupts
What began as a verbal altercation quickly escalated into a violent clash. Chairs were thrown, and the atmosphere turned hostile, with both sides engaging in physical confrontations. Many individuals from both families were injured during the brawl. In the chaos, enraged individuals vandalized the wedding party's vehicles, including a Scorpio, Ertiga, and Bolero, shattering their windows and turning the wedding venue into a scene of destruction.
The Bride's Decision
During the fight, the groom lost his temper and made derogatory remarks about the bride. This disrespectful behavior infuriated her, prompting her to declare that she would not marry someone like him. Following her firm decision, the wedding was called off. Police arrived at the scene shortly after being informed of the situation to restore order.
Police Intervention
According to Subodh Kumar, the SDPO, the tension arose after the groom's party entered the bride's room. Seeing the situation deteriorate, the bride's family rejected the marriage and expelled the guests. For safety reasons, the police took the groom into custody and brought him to the station. Currently, discussions for reconciliation between both parties are ongoing, but no formal complaints have been filed yet.
