Bihar to Establish Dedicated Traffic Training Academy for Enhanced Road Safety

On Wednesday, Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary announced plans to set up a dedicated traffic training academy aimed at enhancing the state's traffic management system. This initiative is expected to provide safer and more efficient traffic services for the general public.
Chaudhary emphasized that this academy will mark a significant milestone for the Bihar Police. The project will involve an investment of over ₹13 crores for its construction and establishment. He revealed that approval has been granted for the proposal to establish the traffic training academy at the Bihar Special Armed Police-16 (BSAP-16) campus located in Phulwari Sharif, Patna.
The Deputy Chief Minister also mentioned that the permanent establishment of the Bihar Special Armed Police-16 is proposed for the Mokama area of Patna district. Subsequently, 10 acres of land from the vacant land and buildings in Phulwari Sharif will be allocated for the traffic training academy.
He further explained that once the land is made available for the academy, the remaining area will be utilized for setting up a traffic police center in Patna. According to the Home Department, a total of 133 positions across various categories will be created for the operation of the proposed traffic training academy.
